Emergency Paediatric First Aid
One-day emergency paediatric course for anyone who works with children.
The Emergency First Aid at Work course plus a paediatric element — 7 hours at your school, FAIB accredited. Ideal for inset days.
Our School First Aid course combines the full Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) syllabus with a dedicated paediatric element, delivered over 7 hours at your school. It's FAIB accredited and tailored to the medical emergencies most likely to occur in a school setting — from playground injuries to asthma attacks and allergic reactions.
Delivered on site for up to 12 staff, it's a popular choice for inset and training days, getting a whole staff group certified together without cover costs.
Alongside certificated staff training, our trainers deliver first aid talks with live demonstrations at schools, colleges and universities — for pupils, or as an awareness session that gives your wider teaching and support staff the basics to back up your designated first aiders.
Talks run from 1 to 3 hours, can be scheduled at any point in the school day — an assembly slot, a lesson period or an inset session — and are tailored to the age group and topics you want covered. A typical 3-hour session includes:
Assembly talks are awareness sessions rather than qualifications, so they're non-certificated — but they're a brilliant way to give a whole year group or staff body the confidence to act in an emergency. A 3-hour talk and demonstration costs £395 + VAT — ask our team about dates when you enquire.
Teachers, classroom assistants, supervisors, office staff and caretakers — anyone working in a primary or secondary school. For early years settings, see the Level 3 Paediatric First Aid course.
Want pupils involved too? Ask about our non-certificated assembly first aid sessions for students.
