Our on site first aid courses start from £395 + VAT per day, covering a group of up to 12 students — around £33 per person. Yes. If you've received a cheaper quote for a like-for-like course, send us a copy of the written quote with your enquiry and we'll match the price. The quote must be in writing and for a comparable course — the same qualification, duration and group size.
The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require every employer to make "adequate and appropriate" first aid provision, based on a first aid needs assessment covering your risks, headcount, shift patterns and site layout. As a rough guide, the HSE suggests an EFAW-trained first aider in low-risk workplaces of 25 or more people, and FAW-trained first aiders in higher-risk or larger workplaces — plus cover for absence, holidays and shifts.

No. All our courses except the First Aid at Work Requalification are designed for complete beginners. Our trainers are experienced at putting nervous delegates at ease, and the sessions are practical and hands-on rather than exam-style.
If a First Aid at Work certificate is still in date, staff can take the two-day requalification course. If it has already lapsed, the HSE expects the full course to be retaken. Speak to us first — we'll check what's right for your situation and book dates quickly so you're not left without cover.
It's rare. Assessment is continuous and practical — there's no written exam to fail on the day — and our trainers support every delegate to reach the standard. If you have specific concerns about language, literacy or accessibility, let us know in advance and we'll adapt the delivery.
