Basic Life Support Training

Practical BLS training delivered to the latest Resuscitation Council UK guidelines — at your surgery, practice, care home or workplace.

Course Overview

Our Basic Life Support (BLS) course is delivered in line with the latest Resuscitation Council UK guidelines, so your team is trained — and assessed — against the current national standard for resuscitation, not an out-of-date syllabus.

BLS is an expected annual competency for clinical and care staff: GP surgeries, dental practices, care homes and NHS teams are routinely asked to evidence up-to-date BLS training at inspection. Our trainer comes to your premises and delivers a focused, hands-on three-hour session, with practical assessment on manikins and your own equipment where possible.

Certificates are valid for three years, although an annual refresher is strongly recommended — and is the norm in most healthcare settings. We can set up a recurring annual booking so your team's compliance never lapses.

What Your Team Will Learn

  • Casualty assessment using the DRSABC approach
  • Chest compressions and rescue breaths to current Resuscitation Council UK standards
  • Safe and effective AED use, integrated with CPR
  • The recovery position and airway management
  • Managing choking in adults and children
  • Infection control considerations during resuscitation

Who Is This Course For?

Designed for teams that must evidence resuscitation competency — GP surgeries, dental practices, care homes, clinics and NHS staff — as well as sports coaches and any employer who wants staff equipped with core life-saving skills. No previous training is required.
